In this section, we explore the different ways that trauma from your past may be affecting you, today. In this 5 part lesson, we discuss how trauma changes the brain, making it difficult to face challenges, stunting our growth, and changing our physiology and the ways we can reframe and reclaim our wellbeing.

In this section, we discuss many different factors that can prevent us from fully acknowledging past abuse. In this 3 part lesson, we explore matters of societal conditioning, familial pressures, and ways that victims are often blamed for past abuse, and how to affirm our truth and challenge those norms.

This section explores how childhood trauma affects our relationships with partners, friends, children, and how it can cause us to dissociate. In this 4 part lesson, we learn how to assess our own attachment styles and relationship patterns, how to get our needs met, and free ourselves from negative relational cycles.

This section reveals how trauma, which remains trapped in the body, can manifest into mental illness, muscular tension, or psychosomatic disorders.  In this 5 part lesson, we learn how physical movement, meditation, mindfulness, and self-awareness provides ways to aid release and relief.

In this section, we discuss the profound impacts that trauma can have on our mental and physical health. In this 2 part lesson, we discuss how to create sustainable healthful habits, encourage Mind/Body transformation, and to foster the power of forgiveness.

 Abigail Makepeace is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Makepeace Therapy. She is a writer, speaker, and a thought leader on trauma’s impact on relationships. Her TEDx presentation on Parental PTSD brought attention to the role that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder plays in parenting for survivors of childhood abuse. She has been featured as a trauma therapist on the Huff Post and can be heard as a guest therapist on shows such as, "Rize Up!" on Dash Radio.
